The wee table

is a simple, common form, but we have added some subtlety which changes its presence in the room. The legs splay out a touch, and the rails have a gentle curve to the bottom edge. These are meant to unconsciously give a slight sense of movement, and a balanced stance, all while remaining light and graceful.

It is made with traditional mortise and tenon joinery. The top is fixed to the base with brass machine screws, which allows for easy repeated removal for refinishing. Finished with a polymerized oil and wax blend with is a good balance between durability against warm mugs and repairability.
